A letter from Rev. Adam Fronczek, Pastor, and Jana Reister, Associate Pastor, Knox Presbyterian Church:
I know that you are concerned over the racial injustice present in our cities and the tragic acts of this week. I know you are also concerned over the protests this week, thankful that many are peaceful, and concerned that some have become dangerous. As a Matthew 25 congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Knox has made an ongoing commitment to dismantling structural racism and standing up for oppressed people in our communities. Your church cares about all of these matters, and we are confident that God cares.
I am sure many of you are struggling to know what you can do, and what we can do as a faith community. These longings will be addressed as part of the sermon you can find at www.knox.org/sermons, and your church’s Session will continue to lead our congregation in seeking faithful responses that support justice and condemn violence.
Here is a message from the Presbytery of Cincinnati that includes some helpful links. I commend this to you and hope that you will be praying for peace and justice in our communities this day and in the days to come.
