He’s Been Faithful Carbaugh/Cymbala
Sung by Fresh Spirit choir member Jeanne Phillips
Lyrics:
In my moments of Fear
Though Every Pain Every Tear
There's A God Who's Been Faithful To Me
When My Strength Was All Gone
When My Heart Had No Song
Still My God He's Proved Faithful To Me
Every Word He's Promised Is True
What I Thought Was Impossible
I've Seen My God Do
He's been faithful, faithful to me
Looking Back He's Love And Mercy
I See Though In My Heart
I Have Questioned And Failed To Believe
He's Been Faithful, Faithful To Me
When My Heart Looked Away
The Many Times I Could Not Pray
Still My God Was Faithful To Me
The Days I Spent So Selfishly Reaching Out
For What Pleased Me
Even Then God Was Faithful To Me
Every Time I Come Back To Him
He Is Waiting with Open Arms
And I See Once Again
He's Been Faithful Faithful To Me
Looking Back His Love And Mercy
I See Though In My Heart
I Have Questioned Even Failed To Believe
Yet He's Been Faithful, Faithful
Oh, in my heart I have questioned,
even failed to believe
yet he's been faithful, faithful to me

Music
Psalm 51: Miserere mei, Dei (Have mercy on me, O God) Gregorio Allegri
Tenebrae Choir, conducted by Nigel Short. Filmed at St Bartholomew the Great, London.
Lyrics
Have mercy upon me, O God, after thy great goodness: according to the multitude of thy mercies do away mine offences.
Wash me throughly from my wickedness: and cleanse me from my sin.
For I acknowledge my faults: and my sin is ever before me.
Against thee only have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified in thy saying, and clear when thou art judged.
Behold, I was shapen in wickedness: and in sin hath my mother conceived me.
But lo, thou requirest truth in the inward parts: and shalt make me to understand wisdom secretly.
Thou shalt purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: thou shalt wash me,
and I shall be whiter than snow.
Thou shalt make me hear of joy and gladness: that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.
Turn thy face from my sins: and put out all my misdeeds.
Make me a clean heart, O God: and renew a right spirit within me.
Cast me not away from thy presence: and take not thy holy Spirit from me.
O give me the comfort of thy help again: and stablish me with thy free Spirit.
Then shall I teach thy ways unto the wicked: and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, thou that art the God of my health: and my tongue shall sing of thy righteousness.
Thou shalt open my lips, O Lord: and my mouth shall shew thy praise.
For thou desirest no sacrifice, else would I give it thee: but thou delightest not in burnt-offerings.
The sacrifice of God is a troubled spirit: a broken and contrite heart, O God, shalt thou not despise.
O be favourable and gracious unto Sion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem.
Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifice of righteousness, with the burnt-offerings and oblations: then shall they offer young bullocks upon thine altar.

The Gospel Lesson John 9:1-3 (NRSV)
A Man Born Blind Receives Sight
9 As he walked along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned; he was born blind so that God’s works might be revealed in him.

Thank you Knox for being with us!
Nancy & Randy Cooper
Our family enjoyed the service. Thank you. Sending lots of prayers and ‘stay’ well-wishes to everyone.
We have chosen to end our Sundays with the beautiful worship service each week instead of signing in at the usual church time. Thank you for helping us to have a peaceful conclusion to the day.
