Worried about your diminished balance? Do you like the idea of being age-defyingly strong and stable? If so, put on your comfortable clothes and come join Yoga Therapist Josie Caruso for this one-hour workshop. She'll teach you some of the exercises and techniques that changed her life after a broken back. What she'll share has made her stronger, more stable and more agile than before her accident, and she believes it can work for you too.
DEFY YOUR AGE WITH BETTER BALANCE
July 27, 11am-12pm
Knox Social Hall
Date TBD - Stay Tuned!
Third and Knox Churches are dedicated to working with the local District 3 police to create a powerful presence in East Westwood to reduce and prevent violence, especially that which impacts children. As you know, the Youth Center at Third Church is a special safe-haven in the neighborhood; one that provides solid development of positive character, sportsmanship, hope, and joy. With the addition of Praise God Park and the Community Garden, more than ever it is a place where youth and families gather after school and on weekends. Therefore, it is vital that this area remain a “safe-space."
This important "Stop the Violence!" event will include community speakers, resource tables, and games and you are invited! It will be a very family friendly event and a great chance to interact with our brothers and sisters at Third Church. If you come, bring a friend!
Please also consider donating one or more $10+ gift cards for stores like Kroger, Target, Walmart, Visa or Amazon. Your donation may be deposited in the small pencil box marked “Stop the Violence” just inside the Michigan Avenue lot door, starting Monday June 7th through Thursday June 17th.
