At Knox we offer opportunities for children and youth to explore our faith traditions and learn the value of living in community, under the guidance of committed teachers. Each Sunday we offer educational opportunities both at 9:15 AM and 11:00 AM, with choir rehearsals from 10:15-11:00 AM.
TIME WITH CHILDREN (Gr 1-6) At both Sunday school hours, the elementary children* are invited to attend worship with their families and be dismissed to Sunday School after Time with Children. (*The 3rd Gr. Bible Class will go directly to class at 9:15 AM for the remaining 4 weeks of class.)
WHICH CLASS SHOULD YOUR CHILD ATTEND? We recommend that you move your children to their next level (if you have not done so) in September. So if your child has just turned 3 by the 1st of September, he/she should go to the 3 Yr-Old Room; if he/she has just begun 1st grade, that child should attend the class with first graders, and so forth
PARENTS OF TODDLERS & INFANTS: In this time of heightened concern over the new flu strain, we remind parents to make sure children remain at home if they have a fever, and should be fever free for 24 hours (without medicine) before returning.
If your child has food allergies, please make sure to use the RED nametags to alert child care workers and volunteers. You may write what foods/ingredients they are allergic to on that nametag.
We are still looking for volunteers in these rooms. If you can help out once a month, please contact Amy Phillips.
CONFIRMATION CLASS meets each Sunday at 11am, in Room 301, concluding with a service of Confirmation/Commissioning on Sunday, May 16. If your 8th Gr (or 9th Grade) son or daughter is interested, please give us a call!
Finally, if you have any questions or would like to find out more about our opportunities for children or youth or have a young person who would like to learn about volunteer opportunities, please contact the Church Education Office. We look forward to seeing your child on Sundays!
Peace,
