old does my child need to be to enroll in your program?
A: Children need to be 27 months old by September 1, 2008 (NO
exceptions)
Q: Does
Knox Preschool offer a payment plan for tuition?
A: Yes! Tuition can be paid monthly, bi-annually, or one
annual payment. There is no additional charge for tuition
paid under these installment plans.
Q: Does Knox Preschool
offer Scholarships for students?
A: Yes! We offer the option to apply for financial help.
Parents may request a scholarship application which will need to
be filled out and returned with last years W-2
forms. WIC guidelines are followed for determining
qualification.
Q: What is a

accredited preschool program?
A: The smiles you see on the
children at NAEYC-accredited programs will tell the story!
NAEYC-accredited
programs must:
v Promote positive relationships for all children and adults to encourage each child’s sense of individual worth.
v Implement a curriculum that fosters all areas of child development: cognitive, emotional, language, physical, and social.
v Use developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate and effective teaching approaches.
v Provide ongoing assessments of a child’s learning and development and communicate the child’s progress to the family.
v Employ and support a teaching staff that has the educational qualifications, knowledge, and professional commitment necessary to promote children’s leaning and development and to support families’ diverse needs and interests.
v Provide a safe and healthy physical environment.
Q: Should I enroll my child
in a 3 day program or a 4 day program?
A: Our 3 day program is tailored to a multi-age group of 3 and
4 year olds. Children begin to learn counting skills, letter
recognition, and fine motor skills.
Our 4 day
program is tailored to a multi-age group of 4 and 5 year olds.
Children begin to count in groups of 10, some
begin to write their names, and a Spanish unit is
introduced.
All of our programs, whether 3 day or 4 day promote a developmental approach to learning. It is designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of children. Our teachers strive to create an environment which stimulates exploration. Our goal is to provide each child with a warm supportive environment in which each child is inspired to fully explore his/her potential.
